Our Commitment and Zero-Tolerance Policy
Kennington Removals adopts a strict zero-tolerance approach to all forms of modern slavery, human trafficking, forced labour, and exploitation. This applies to our own business, our employees, agency workers, contractors, and our entire supply chain. We expect everyone who works with us or on our behalf to share this commitment and to uphold the same high standards.
Any suspected instance of modern slavery will be treated with utmost seriousness. Where appropriate, we will support investigations by competent authorities and will promptly consider terminating relationships with any party found to be involved in, or knowingly turning a blind eye to, modern slavery practices.
Our Business and Supply Chain
Kennington Removals provides professional removals and related services. Our supply chain includes providers of vehicles, fuel, packing materials, storage facilities, equipment, and labour services. We recognise that certain parts of the logistics and labour supply sectors can be vulnerable to modern slavery and we actively work to identify and manage these risks.
Due Diligence and Supplier Audits
We conduct due diligence on new and existing suppliers where there is a risk of unethical labour practices. Our supplier approval process includes assessing the supplier’s own policies and controls relating to modern slavery, worker welfare, and ethical conduct.
Where appropriate, Kennington Removals carries out supplier audits that may include site visits, document reviews, and discussions with management to verify labour standards and working conditions. We prioritise audits in higher risk areas of our supply chain, such as labour agencies and providers operating in sectors or locations where modern slavery risk is more prevalent.
Suppliers are required to comply with all applicable labour and human rights laws and to confirm that they do not engage in, or tolerate, forced, bonded, or involuntary labour. Failure to meet our standards, or refusal to cooperate with reasonable checks, may result in suspension or termination of the supplier relationship.
Reporting Concerns and Whistleblowing Channels
Kennington Removals encourages all employees, contractors, suppliers, and other stakeholders to raise concerns about any issue or suspicion of modern slavery in any part of our business or supply chain.
Concerns can be reported to line managers or senior management. We also encourage suppliers to maintain and publicise their own internal reporting channels so that their workers can raise issues safely. All raised concerns will be taken seriously, handled sensitively, and, where possible, confidentially. We will not tolerate any form of victimisation or retaliation against individuals who report concerns in good faith.
Training and Awareness
